Travel Instructions
Your guide to smooth travelling
Buying tickets
Tickets can be purchased from OnniBus and Matkahuolto online stores or at R-kioski. For long-distance routes, tickets may also be purchased directly from the driver if seats are available. Passengers with online tickets and multi-ride cards board first. Please have your ticket ready before boarding to ensure smooth and quick entry.
Before completing your reservation, verify all travel details. Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be changed, including cases of incorrect or duplicate bookings. You may board only at the stop you selected during purchase and exit at your chosen destination. Remember to signal the driver at the stop until the turn signal indicates the bus is pulling in, and press the STOP button well in advance before your exit stop.
Boarding the Bus
At the stop, signal the driver clearly by raising your hand until the turn signal indicates that the bus will pull over. In the dark, you can use the light from your phone to help the driver see you.
Multiple routes may use the same stop, so the driver will not stop automatically without a boarding signal — even if you have an online ticket.
Exiting the Bus
Inside the bus, press the STOP button when your stop is approaching. Please signal early enough to allow the driver to stop safely.
If you are unsure where to get off, feel free to ask the driver when boarding.
Arrive Early
Arrive at the stop well before the scheduled arrival time and make sure you are waiting at the correct stop. Timetable times are approximate and may vary.
Respect Other Passengers
Help create a comfortable ride for everyone:
-
Use headphones when listening to music or using devices.
-
Avoid loud phone conversations.
-
Please refrain from using strong fragrances.
- Front row seats are meant for passengers with limited mobility.
Luggage
Luggage must be durable, suitable for transport in the cargo hold (e.g., travel bag, backpack, or suitcase), and able to withstand handling and stacking.
Passengers are responsible for their own luggage at all times, including moving it during transfers, such as airport route connections.
We are not responsible for lost or damaged valuables. Keep valuables with you during the journey. For expensive items, we recommend travel or home insurance.
Delayed or Cancellation
We always strive to operate according to schedule. However, traffic, weather conditions, or technical issues may cause delays or route changes.
The driver’s primary responsibility is safety; schedule adherence is secondary. In case of vehicle breakdown, we will arrange replacement transportation as soon as possible. Expenses caused by delays are not reimbursed.
Holiday services may operate with special schedules. Any changes are announced on Facebook and on our website in the Latest News / Updates section.
